Come Crawling Faster, Obey Your Master

Hello darlings! I have been absent for the entire week as promised, but now I'm back :)) And I have a lot to talk about: my vacation was absolutely amazing. Where did I go, what did I do? I spent the past 7 days snowboarding in the lovely Kitzbuhel!

I admit I was a little prejudiced, because from what I've heard about Kitzbuhel, it is a bit of a "snob city". So I wasn't totally sure what to expect. But now I must say I absolutely loved the place and I would definitely recommend visiting it, for both the skiing and the night life (compared to other skiing resorts, while I'm not an expert, I'd say it was quite outstanding). I really enjoyed my stay, we had a huuuge beautiful apartment with a fireplace and all and I loved it - my friend Celine and I were so shocked that we were jumping around for about 10 minutes once we saw it :D Here is a little photo-journey of my week in Kitzbuhel...

The owners of the apartment had two little kids and it was so adorable: they drew two girls on the slip, because they knew that two girls were coming (Celine and I). So cute!!! :))

This picture got me into a really "fun" situation ^^ In order to take it, I climbed down a really steep slope and only let my head be seen, as you can see on the photo. Well anyway, the real trouble started when I wanted to get up again... I kept falling down and each time I climbed half a meter up, I fell two down :D But in the end, with help from my boyfriend, I survived :))

After seeing this picture, I wanted to cuddle myself :D I find it cuuuuute, which is probably a bad thing to say, but oh well --- it's cute :)))

...and so is this one :D I look like a walrus bulldog.

Bond. James Bond.

Considering the title of this post: Master of Puppets. We had loads of fun with our iPods and Oli was the best DJ ever :)) We had Metallica and other metal bands playing 24/7, which was something I loved and Celine did not :)) And she wasn't the only one - a fully naked man payed us a visit, telling us to turn the music off. Now, that is HOT! (not hot at all, really -.- )

So here it is :)) I had such a wonderful time and I relaxed, which is something I needed more than anything else. Everyone who was there made it really amazing, mostly Celine, my boyfriend, Oli and also my parents :) The only problem is that now I cannot wait for the next holidays which are only in April... But that's okay, I will plan something equally amazing - actually, I have a plan forming in my head already :))

I have other news, too: I will be gone for another week! I might have a chance to post this time though and I will do my best to be able to do so :) And guess where I will be going this time... Italy! Expect a post about my plans for next week very very soon :))
I love you guys, thank you for coming back and commenting despite my absence :)
Also: posts in both Czech and English soon! :))

Where do I come from?

Following many posts in which I have been asking you to guess where I come from, here is the article in which I will answer.
Here is what you guys guessed... USA until I warned you that the place is in Europe :) Then: Germany, Italy, Austria, Spain... All wrong! Not that there was any chance you guys could simply guess it, but none of you even got near the right place.

revised-eastern-europe-map

Which is somewhere within this region - Eastern Europe. I'm not going to keep you guys guessing - think the "heart of Europe", a country which is famous for its beer breweries, famous composers, a few well known topmodels and our soccer team. The answer? I hope you guys know by now: the fabulous Czech Republic :))
Surprised? ;)

The reason I brought this up is this: I want to start writing parts of the text in Czech as well, because I noticed that there are quite a lotta Czech bloggers, and I thought it might be a good idea for me to practice my Czech a little too, because I speak English 24 (I can't write slash :O ) 7. So yeah... here we go :))

I am gonna go to bed now and get ready for my snowboarding mountain adventure with my friend (?!) Celine. Happy Valentine's day to all of you btw - I will have fun "celebrating" it in the car -.- (plus with my boyfriend who just "doesn't give a fuck" :D )
I will post again on Saturday. Have a wonderful week <3

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend

  • Lady Gaga love. Plus MAC love.

  • I simply cannot wait to go snowboarding in Kitzbuhel with my friend Celine already. We are leaving tomorrow in the morning - so I'm afraid I will not be posting for app. a week (yet again, I know guys, I am very sorry) - I doubt there will be any connection in the cabin.

  • ...plus I have new snowboarding clothes. Caaaan't wait to try it all on and actually use it :))

  • I got my report and I'm quite happy with it :))

  • I will celebrate Valentine's Day by sitting in the car for 5 hours, holding Celine's hand... or not ;) This is the first time I am not single on February 14 (or at least I hope I won't get dumped within the next 24 hours :)) but I don't think I should be expecting anything ^.^

Don't judge a book by its cover.

Sexy people, here you have me again! I apologize for the temporary blogging hiatus. As I already said multiple times, I am overloaded with school work and I try to make my days a bit longer than the regular 24 hours.
But guess what - I finally did something interesting this weekend! :)) On Saturday there was a truly amazing and creative party - an Austrian themed birthday party at a Heuriger. The girls were required to wear a dirndl - check for a picture in my Friday FTW post :)) Here is my take on it - I did not get a regular one and simply just tried to make something similar looking using stuff I had at home :)) As of now, I can only find this picture of myself, but I hope some of my friends will provide me with more/better :)

As you can see I even had two cute school-girl style ponytails with a red ribbon on each :)) I thought it was very "Heidi"-ish.

Moving on to Sunday - my friend Celine and I are planning to make four dresses for the upcoming Fashion Gala 2010 in our school. To read more about the event, click here - I suggest you really have a look there, you can also see pictures of my previous designs, which I did last year, by myself :))
And now we finally got around to doing it - after like... 3 months?! :D So anyway, we jumped on a train and just laid back... But guess what, life is much harder than it seems. So: the train did not stop at our station. Not only that, it stopped at a place which was 4 hours (walking) away from the place we wanted to go to :))) After a bit of trial and error (quite a bit :D ) we finally caught a train, which took us there. And you might be thinking - here is where the adventure ends. But have a look at the fabric shop... here is where the mystery begins!

Doesn't that just look like a mafia hideout? I almost expected Al Capone to put a gun right next to my head and whisper "La Muerte, baby." (honestly, I have no idea what would possibly lead him to saying that, but anyway :))
But anyway: as the title suggests, don't judge a book by its cover. This place is a real hidden gem. The amount of fabrics and buttons they have - and the unbeatable prices - make this the only place I ever go to when I need to do some dress making preparation. Just have a look here:

P1050223

P1050225

There are rows upon rows of materials and it is really exciting walking around and just looking. But the process of fabric buying is really exhausting - I always come in with a clear idea of what I want to do and walk out with a huge bag of things which are not even related to my initial idea :)) This is also what happened this time: we wanted to do a fun "civil service gone naughty" kinda collection. Nurse, cop, soldier, teacher, pilot, stewardess, captain, firefighter... that kind of thing :)) But in the end we opted out for somewhat futuristic silver nets and silky cloths, plastic bands... Very very exciting :))

How do you like our finds? I am very excited about them and cannot wait to start cutting and sewing and all that :))

Oh and a fun example of sexism: paid toilet for women, but free for men.

P1050226

With that I leave you, darlings. I hope you start visiting and commenting again, I really missed you and I'm sorry for my absence :))

PS: I will soon answer the question "where I come from" if any of you are still with me :) And I will explain why I even brought it up :)) xxx

So hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more.

I am sooo sorry for being such a bad girl when it comes to posting this week!!! I have been trying my best to find some time to write something interesting for you guys, but there is so much homework I still have to do, that I am too busy to even sleep :)) So your "Friday FTW" is coming out now, on Sunday ^.^ But anyway, here it is:

    • Another amazing Gala project! Click the picture for more details.

    • The movie "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas", based on John Boyne's book. This movie is unbelievably touching - I was trying to tell a friend what it's about yesterday and I started crying while just talking about it.

    • On the same note, I have fallen in love with Vera Farmiga. Her performance in the previous movie and in "Up in the Air", starring opposite George Clooney, was just as remarkable (Oscar nomination!) as in the previously mentioned one. And she is beautiful.
Interesting fact: I never knew she was Ukrainian :))

    • Shopping for cheap fabrics at a really scary place :)) My amazing friend Celine and I managed to finally buy fabrics for the upcoming "Fashion Gala 2010" show in our school, which we want to create four dresses for. I will make a post about this asap :)

    • Attending my friend's Austrian themed party. Most girls were wearing the typical dirndls, like this:

(Image: wiezn.de) If I manage to find any interesting pictures, I will gladly post :))
