They said it changes when the Sun goes down
In order to restore the idea of warm breezes and walks on the beach and watching the sunset (which I don't honestly recall ever doing, but it sounds pretty sweet :)) in my mind, I began going through my holiday pictures and right now I'm enjoying them as the only source of some serious solar energy. And I thought to myself, how about sharing a few of them with you ;))
The ones you will be seeing in this article are from my vacation in Greece, in a beautiful small town called Parga. I wouldn't be surprised if none of you have ever heard of it, as it has only become a hot-spot for tourists a few years ago. I absolutely love it there and as I've visited the place quite a few times, I can find my way around quite well already :))
I suppose sunshine actually works both on the outside and the inside, and has some awesome effect on the human psyche, making us more open, positive and active. While I have a lot going on at the moment - my trip to GeMUN in Italy, the annual Fashion Gala show and now the upcoming Cabaret in my school at which I will be performing (singing) numerous times - I feel like I am not doing much in terms of being actually active, getting off the super-comfy IKEA chair in front of my computer desk and doing something non-cybernetic. I mean - watching TV helped me get out of my mild lethargy. What did I watch? The Formula 1 races in Bahrain. And you know what? They had 40 degrees Celsius there, good for them :)) I'm not exactly a F1 expert, but I got really into it, because as I am a very competitive person, I love watching matches and feeling the nervousity. For those of you interested, here are the results:
1. Fernando Alonso - Ferrari
2. Felipe Massa - Ferrari
3. Lewis Hamilton - McLaren
Next race: Australian Grand Prix, Mar 28, 2:00am
My favourite was/is Nico Rosberg who came 5th, followed by the come-back superstar Michael Schumacher. Just so you know... yeah... (not that you care, I know, but still :)))
Anyway, all those lucky bastards had their dose of vitamin D today and that made me feel slightly jealous :))
I am looking forward to my Spring Break in April during which I am hoping to visit my home country, the Czech Republic, and meet up with my friends whom I really miss (Skype and ICQ are great alternatives, but a face-to-face meeting is thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much better :)). Now I am afraid I have to dive back into the whirl pool of homework and other duties, but I hope I shall have more time to post and comment and connect with you all.
Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain... Sunny, you looked at me and really eased the pain. The dark days are gone and the bright days are here, my sunny one shines so sincere. Sunny one so true, I love you :))
I am gonna try my best to feel sunny on the inside and then I reckon, I won't be needing the Sun so much :)

Under the sea, darling it's better...
I promised you to tell you why I went off to Italy and here it is: GeMUN 2010. Now, let me explain what that means. MUN stands for Model United Nations, which simply means a "sample version" of a UN conference :)) It did slightly messy though, so I hope that regular conferences are not too similar :) But here is the basic concept:
You are assigned a country and a committee. I was in Disarmament and National Security Committee and I couldn't be any happier - although not very girly, that was my absolute. There are three topics per committee, and you write a resolution about one of them, whichever you choose. On the first day of the conference you "lobby", which means getting signatures for your resolution. If you get enough of them (depends on the size of your commitee, for mine it was 20), your resolution passes. If thati the case, it's discussd the next day. You read it out and speak for it, explaining to other delegates why they should support it. And then other people either speak for or against it, depending on their opinion AND the stance of the country they are representing (which was often not the case :)). And in the end, they vote whether it will pass or not :)
MUN is a very very interesting thing for anyone, it obviously shows you how those things work, but also encourages you to know about current affairs and overall have good common knowledge, as once you are on the podium, some people's questions will be aimed at skinning you alive (metaphorically speaking :))) and then boiling you in your lack of knowledge. I had loads of fun, my resolution got passed, so I was very happy, since I got to get up on the podium and teach the world all I knew about illicit brokering :))) I met many interesting people from all over the world and if I ever get the opportunity to go to any MUN conference, I'll definitely go.
And now some pictures to illustrate what I've been doing in Genoa :))

Filming the whole time (my friends did not seem to like that :))

Eating icecream (DUH)

Being sad before departure.

Going to Bar Purple :))

Going to conferences (not just to sleep :))
Kiss kiss kiss & pixie dust!
