All eyes on me in the center of the ring just like a circus

I am pretty bad with dates, but luckily not bad enough to miss my 1 year anniversary with le boyfriend :)) I was definitely overdressed - I kinda felt like a little uncaged animal running around the streets at 8 pm... But guess what - it always feel much much better to look better than you are supposed to than vice versa :))

So... it was my 1 year anniversary with le boyfriend on Saturday!!! :)) Time flies so fast! This is what I wore during the day ;)

Right, like you name your volcano Eyjafjallajokull and you expect it not to fu*k things up?

  • I thought this was super-hilarious. This is too. Of course, the fact that the world has been thrust into a state of chaos is not too hilarious. Just consider it - it is not just people stuck in random countries, waiting for a plane. It is postal services, food delivery, medical care... we all rely on planes more than we think. I just tried to imagine what would happen if the Haiti earthquake happened after the erruption of the Icelandic volcano - can you imagine the terror and the horrible consequences of that?
  • "The Kite Runner", a movie based on a book written by Khaled Hosseini, was heart breaking.

"There is only one sin, only one. And that is theft. Every other sin is a variation of theft... When you kill a man, you steal a life. You steal his wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness."
  • ...and the film "Blood Diamond" (with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Connelly) is very powerful. It left me thinking and I realized how little we, people from the other continents, know about the African way of life. Learnt a thing or two from that movie, not just about Africa, but also about myself. Now, that mustbe a film worth watching, huh? ;))
  • My band ROCKS. We just performed our own song at a concert this week :))

Tight jeans, double D's

  • My friend and I decided to do a desperate move married couples often decide to undertake in order to save their dying marriage :)) (and yes, it was my idea, because I am desperate ^^ ) We decided to set a day each month when we MUST meet each other, and this is the first of our dates :)) Not that we never see each other, we actually do almost daily... but there isn't much time to have our girly debates with the avalanches of work following us everywhere we go.

  • Vapiano. This is related to the previous point - our first sexy date was... Yes, you've guessed it, in Vapiano. See pics here.

  • An amazing blogger who actually happens to be a classmate of mine (I'll tell my grandchildren about this too, yes :)) is starting a magazine called Kneon and I can't wait to see the first issue!

  • I'm not even sure if I really like this video - but the costumes and make-up kind of won me over to the dark gaga side. But the video is a bit too weird... Dancing in the middle of a pib filled with dead people? Not my idea of fun :D What you have to understand is that I am a huge Gaga fan, I'm just not sure I feel this song 100%.

Here is a spoof of the video I liked equally much :))

  • Chatroulette is crazy and creepy! If you don't like old guys ja**ing off, don't go on it :)) I promise you won't meet many normal people there... A fun group activity I suppose, but here is your warning:

  • ...and finally: fun fairs, followers, friends, fun, flowers and very importantly Formula 1! Today's (18th April 2010) race in China was amazing. Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and my baby boy Nico Rosberg were the three best and I like them all very much. A shout out to Vitaly Petrov who managed to finish the race for the first time this season and came 7th. Woot!

Much love to you darlings!

Come here rude boy, boy, is you big enough?

What do you think about Rihanna's song "Rude Boy"? I am not at all a fan of hers, but this song is just incredibly catchy and I must admit I love the tune. But I think the lyrics are quite inappropriate, being played on the radio. What is you opinion about this, dolls? :))

As you can read in this week's Friday FTW, my friend and I had our first "old married couple" date with my best friend :)) We went to eat in Vapiano - I love taking pictures of food, so here you go :))) Pardon the bad quality of the photos, they were taken with my BlackBerry and they're not the best.

Later we went shoe shopping. I absolutely LOVED these shoes, but they didn't have them in my size (how could they not have 38?)...

And finally, let me show off what I bought - an amazing Zara jumpsuit with a floral corset. It is so beautiful, I really can't wait to wear it already.

Alors on danse

Alors, je suis de retour. I had a wonderful time in the Czech republic! Unfortunately I was quite bad with taking pictures - my boyfriend does not share my camera whoring passion - but I will just show you the few I have snapped :)

I am not too happy to be back, because now I have tons of school work to do and I feel like this has all been just a dream. But memories stay - and that's what matters :))
I hope you guys all had a great week! This week will be a busy one for me, but there are some things I am really looking forward to and will gladly post any pictures I snap along the way. And do await a Friday FTW post this week - I know I haven't posted one in ages, but I just think it's better to either post a good one when I actually have something interesting to say or not post at all :))
Have a lovely bunch of coconuts... :))

Time is a circus, always packing up and moving away.

I am now sitting in the middle of my room with tons of clothes and bags and smaller bags and jewelry surrounding me. I am trying to figure out a way to defy all the physical laws I know - how do you fit 30kg worth of clothes into a little pink suitcase? I mean, have scientists been sleeping all these years? Cars, computers, drugs to fight sicknesses? Come on... ;))
OK I'm just joking, although I would not mind being able to take my entire wardrobe with me to the Czech republic. My возлюбленный (it should mean "my dear" :)) and I are travelling together and I cannot wait to show him where I grew up, went to school and simply any place, which means something to me :)) That means... loads of walking ;)

No tak... ;))
OK, dělám si legraci, i když bych se nezlobila kdybych měla dost místa na svůj celý šatník a měla možnost si vzít všechno svoje oblečení s sebou do Čech. Můj возлюбленный (mělo by to znamenat "můj drahý" :))) a já pojedeme společně do ČR a já se nemůžu dočkat až mu ukážu kde jsem vyrostla, chodila do školy a tak dále :)) To znamená... hodně chození ;)

SUGAR-RUSH-4-750x990

I haven't been to the Czech republic in quite a long time and I cannot wait to see my friends and my family again :)) And of course, I cannot wait to eat some Czech food, which I dearly miss here in Austria. And hear Czech, for that matter :))

A taky až uslyším češtinu :))

SUGAR-RUSH-3-750x993

All in all, my trip is going to be an adventure and I am very excited about it. I'd like to wish you HAPPY EASTER and I will update you about and post pictures when I'm back, which will be on April 12 :))

Můj výlet bude jedno velké dobrodružství a už nemůžu samou radostí ani dospat. Ráda bych vám všem popřála VESELÉ VELIKONOCE a dodám fotky a popíšu své zážitky až se vrátím, což bude 12. dubna :))

So, happy Easter darlings! Enjoy the sunshine and have a wonderful time. Adieu for now, I love you :)) xxx

Bilingual Dilemma / Dvojjazyčné dilema

A while ago I made a promise I did not redeem. I said, that I would begin to write my blog in two languages, which means I would carry on writing in English as I do now, but add a Czech translation of the text. But as you must have noticed, that never happened. There are a few reasons behind this. A question formed in my head - will it not become messy and difficult to read if there are two versions of the same text? Will it not confuse everybody? Will it be of any use/benefit to my readers? And another question - is my Czech good enough? Now, this is the one worrying me the most. I've lived in the Czech Republic for 13 years and I am 100% Czech. Naturally, my Czech is superb - I had even wanted to become a writer when I was younger, and my essays were always amongst the best. However, living in an English/German speaking environment, everytime I come home, I speak in a little Czenglish mixture. It is not as bad as I am making it sound now, but it is a little bit alarming. Hopefully my visit of the Czech republic in the following week will resurrect my hibernating vocabulary :))

Má to úsilí vůbec nějaký smysl?

I would like to know your opinion about this - should I begin posting in two languages?

Une petite shopping spree

I haven't gone shopping in such a long time! And you know - “whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping.” (Bo Derek)
Elayne Boosler cleverly said: “When women are depressed, they eat or go shopping. Men invade another country. It's a whole different way of thinking.” I like that; we are very similar, but there are some crucial differences, which should not be forgotten if we ever want to understand the opposite sex.

OK, that's enough of trying to sound smart and interesting :)), let me give way to my girlier persona. I went shopping on Mariahilferstrasse, the biggest shopping street in Vienna. I had no idea of what I wanted to buy, but amazingly fashionable pieces just kept coming my way.

P1050502 copy

Pink sweater: Zara
Jeans: Zara
Black dress: Zara
Pink dress: H&M
Bag: Guess
Belt: Pieces
It seems af if I bought all these things to form an outfit, they go together really well :)) I fell in love with light baby pink this season, it looks really nice against my Snow White-y skin.
One thing I have not yet told y'all about - I am going to the Czech Republic during my vacation and I promise I will take as many pictures as my SD card will allow :)) ...Also, I cannot wait to sport these new clothes ;)))
Muchos love for all your support and kind comments! xoxo

I never had one before. - What, a room to yourself? - A bed.

My holidays finally began yesterday! I am very very excited and I will try to do everything I haven't got much time for with all my school work - and that includes this blog :))
Yesterday I had a romantic date (ha-ha) with my friend Celine. First we ate sushi at this incredibly awesome (where awesome=cheap :)) place, then we went window-shopping in the most luxurious shopping street in Vienna and gasped, looking at the price tags :) I decided, that my favourite display was at Valentino - just have a look at the 2010 collection.

We also found the most incredible shoe brand, called United Nude. I am certainly planning on buying some of their pieces - I have never seen any shoes that scream extravaganzza as loud as these. Just have a look at these babies...

And finally, we went to the cinema. We watched "The Blind Side" - the movie was so touching! While a universal crowd pleaser with some obvious "aww moments", it was such a powerful tale of human kindness and wasted talents, that I left the cinema deeply affected and thinking about life. Also, I must say that Sandra Bullock was incredible --- and I loved her clothes :))

By the by, the actress playing Collins - her name is Lily Collins by the way :)) - is very pretty and has a great style :))

LilyCollins

I suggest you go to the cinema and watch this movie, I think it is a film everybody can relate to in one way or another and it teaches us something. I am not the type to like chick flicks or romantic movies dripping with sugar, but "The Blind Side" - based on real events - was a thousand times better than I expected and I want to watch it again :))

I am glad to be posting again, I've missed you guys. I cannot wait to hear from you! :)) xoxo
