If you say so...

I have no exams until Monday and so I took a break from studying today and did some things I like. Surprising as it is, the extensive list of my interests apparently includes reading nuclear arsenal reduction treaties, because that's what I've been doing for the past hour. It's been over a year since I've become interested in nuclear weapons and my interest was only fueled after I went to Genoa to participate in the Model United Nations (check out my post about it!) and ended up being on the disarmament committee. Right now I'm reading about the New START treaty, in case any of you are interested. Alrighty, didn't think so :)
I finally figured out the problem I have with my outfit posts - when I see them, I usually feel like they look kind of cheap and not at all attractive. While that's partly the problem of having a crappy camera, I found a solution - taking photos outdoors. It looks so much better. Judge for yourselves!

I have to show you what I picked up at the post office today - I won an amazing giveaway at Lucy's blog and she sent me these five lovely key chains, which she made herself! What a talented woman! My favorite is the red one - you can see them all on the last picture, which I stole from Lucy's blog :)

Advanced Potion Making

The title is inspired by the first photo and also by my favorite school at the moment - Hogwarts. Trigonometry? Differential calculus? No. I bet that the Harry Potter series wouldn't be half as successful if Voldemort and Harry were having algebra contests instead of deadly combats full of "Expeliarmus!" and "Avada kedavra!" But maybe I'm wrong. But then again, why am I being expected to learn something not even Hermione Granger knows? Is the International Baccalaureate (yup, I can spell it) sure they're not asking a bit too much of us? On a happy note, I had my first two exams today - English and Philosophy. Altogether I wrote 20 pages, most of which I'm quite proud of. Tomorrow two more Philosophy papers and - oh no! - math. Wish me luck!

So, you wanna attract some new readers? Read on!

There are so many charming fashionistas in the blogosphere, that it is virtually impossible to track them all down. The good soul that I am, I'm starting a new weekly feature called "The Blogger of the Week" or possibly (hopefully) something more creative, if my brain allows.

What I want from you is to tell me - would you be interested in getting to know some awesome new fashion bloggers? Since my guess is that the answer will be a uniform "duh!", I am now accepting your self-nominations ;) If you'd like to be the first blogger of the week to be featured on my blog, write a comment here or, preferably, an e-mail to sabinasupernova@gmail.com. Don't be shy!

Barcelona - Razzmatazz

Oh, so you thought I was finished telling you about my long weekend in Barcelona? Big mistake! :) Today I have an especially interesting edition - going out in Barcelona. We spent one of the nights in a club called City Hall with a group of awesome Russian people we met in the hotel - but on that night I was, unfortunately, cameraless. Luckily, I remembered to take my camera when we went to Razzmatazz. Unfortunately, I was exhausted by the time we got to the club and all I really wanted to do was to sleep... But I pulled myself together and danced until the early morning hours!

We had a little photoshoot in our hotel before going out (We only went out at 2 am! Apparently in Barcelona it's normal to go so late!), so I'll show you that first.

This photo looks very wrong, but I promise David wasn't touching my boobs - I was holding his hand, but yeah, that's not what it looks like... Fine, on we go to photos from Razz itself now!

Where have all the flowers gone

Bad news first - I am exhausted and I have loads of school work to do... I gave in a huge Economics assignment today, but I guess that's not enough. On to Chemistry and English! The positive thing, however, is that I ate sushi today and saw some killer heels for ridiculously low prices when I accompanied my boyfriend to Kärntner Straße. He needed a pair of new formal shoes, because tomorrow he'll be heading to Switzerland for his university interview. I'm sure they'll love him because he's very smart, although very lazy as well, which drives me craaazy sometimes :)) Keep your fingers crossed for Leo!

Also, let me tell you a short anecdote - this happened before Christmas, but I never got around to writing about it... I was waiting with le boyfriend for his S-Bahn (that's an intercity train) and I was very sad about him leaving for some reason. After he got on his train, I stood in front of the window and made very dramatic sad faces, to make sure he would understand what a bad person he is (sometimes I seriously act like a puppy, I'm not sure if that's a good thing :))). There was a couple sitting across the gangway and they were laughing as they watched my melodramatic goodbyes. A few minutes after, I got a call from Leo. And you know what he told me? That the couple got out on the next station and they went over to the window, stood in front of it and made sad faces at him just like I did before :D I found that really hilarious - I love when people are spontaneous and act crazy like that. It really brightened up my day, so I am writing it here in case it does the same for any of you! :)

Can you go downtown with a girl like me?

If you guys enjoy getting physically harassed by strangers, I highly recommend you to get this coat! In school, I had people from coming up to me the whole day, asking if they could touch my coat - definitely a good conversation starter! :)) I own way too many faux fur coats and if you haven't yet, I recommend you check out my picture guide on how to wear one. You may have seen this coat on hautepursuit, but I got it in Barcelona and on sale, which makes mine even more awesome :) I like wearing reddish brown shades because they go well with my hair (reddish brown matches reddish brown, I think I just made a huge discovery!) and so I paired this with a leopard scarf, cowboy-ish boots and one of the prettiest bags ever. Well, all my bags are amongst the prettiest bags ever, but you get the point.

PS: I don't know what's wrong with me, but I think I'm starting to like Miss Rihanna. Basically all her songs are major hits and I like her new red hair. Besides, just have a look at the title of this post. Jeez, what's next? Watching chick flicks?

Barcelona: Tapas

If you'd like to see my new outfit post, head over to Coco and Vera, where I did a guest outfit post! :)

I've got new posts lined up, which is really great, but for now I'd really like to show you some more of Barcelona! Here are some tapas for you - they are basically just small versions of various foods and the advantage is, that you are able to taste more things during one sitting, because you won't be full after one dish. On the other hand, if you're like me and you think that small food does not count as actual food and therefore you are allowed to eat as much of it as you want to, get ready to weigh a ton more when you get back from the restaurant :)) We had our tapas in Txapela and everything was awesome!

Guest Post - Cee

Hello lovelies! I'm Cee from Coco and Vera. Sabina and I are posting on each other's blogs today, just for fun, really, but also, at least for me, as a way to get outside of my fashion box. I find that every few months I get into a routine of wearing very similar looks over and over... and what better way to reinvent yourself than a change of scenery?

I'm normally very dedicated to classic, neutral looks, which probably seems a bit hard to believe if the first thing you're seeing me in is a red silk romper. I know. But I assure you, in my daily life - and, I admit, even sometimes in my blog - you'll most often find me in a black turtleneck and never, never in red. I have an irrational desire to match my clothes; the easiest way to satisfy that is to wear only colours that match anything. Blacks, whites, grays, nudes... they all hang happily in my closet.

hh
That doesn't explain why I was so attracted to this red romper. The truth is, I've been dreaming of it since the summer time (and even occasionally searched for it on ebay!) When I found it on a Boxing Day Sale rack for an absurdly low price, I just couldn't resist. I still paired it with my favourite neutrals. If you're hesitant to try a new trend or experiment with a bold colour, I think it's best to ease into it by wearing one bold piece with others you know and love. These gray knee socks are my latest obsession, and my nude heels are a long-time staple.

Thanks for reading, darlings! I hope this post gives you a little inspiration to try a new look that will bring some brightness and fun to your winter wardrobe :) If you want to stop by and visit my blog, you can see a lot more of the classic neutrals I love so much. And, in a few weeks, photos of my honeymoon in Paris!
